Why This Space Matters to Me
This site is a blend of my personal journey and a dedicated space for real support. While you will find links to my book, “Lori’s Song“, my ultimate goal isn’t to promote it—it is to provide a safe haven and actionable resources for anyone navigating mental health challenges.
Having survived being held as a POW in Iran, enduring physical trauma, and living with two brain tumors, I know firsthand how incredibly difficult it is to find your way through the fog of Addiction, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, and Sexual Abuse. I understand the deeply felt need for a community, an agency, or simply someone who will listen and help.
I built this platform so we can understand these disorders together and connect with real, life-changing help. check out our dedicated resource categories, and join the conversation. If you know someone who might need this space, please share it with them. You are not alone, and your voice matters here.
My Journey as a Survivor My story is one of extreme challenges and resilience. From surviving childhood abuse to being held as a POW in Iran during the events of 9/11, I have experienced the darkest moments life can offer. I share these details not to focus on the past, but to let you know that if you are suffering, I understand because I have been there too.
Why This Site Exists Because these experiences are very real for me, I am dedicated to providing vetted resources for those dealing with:
- Bipolar Disorder & Mental Health
- Sexual Abuse Recovery
- Veterans & PTSD Support
- Substance Abuse & Addiction
Whether you are here to learn from my book, Lori’s Song, or to find help for yourself or a loved one, please know you are in a safe place. I welcome your thoughts, suggestions, and shared stories as we navigate this journey together.
